The Sissel “Step-Fit” mat, your natural pebble beach for at home. Step on and feel your body being activated from the soles of the feet up. The uneven surface ensures your feet don’t lay flat on the floor, but rest on the pebble-shaped lumps instead, creating pressure points that stimulate reflex zones in the feet, circulation and metabolism. At the same time the “rocky” surface forces you to maintain your balance: your muscles and ligaments constantly make small corrective movements to stabilise your body. This interplay of muscles and the nervous system improves full body coordination and strengthens the ligaments in your foot, ankle, knee and hip.

The Sissel “Step-Fit” mat is therefore excellent at improving balance – whether for increased stability in day-to-day life or as training to prevent falls. It can also be used in rehabilitation and therapy centres for targeted sensorimotor and proprioceptive training after injuries and operations.
